Literature is Great! Art is Great!
in the poetry class this morning, i began to think that i'm not going to major in translation...i want to major in literature... but it's too late now. the direction can't be changed now. it's going that way as written in the registeration form i've submitted some time before. it is during this "some time" that my opion changed. time's going on, and i'm getting to know more about the things, so my views change as well. but some things will not change as my mind changes. they've asked my opinion, and i've made my decision, so the thing goes as it should. then i changed. who's going to be responsible for the changing will? ...
well, may be too early, and too late too, to worry about those things. i've got to pass that exam first. otherwise all these talks would be meaningless.

under a tight schedule~~~ but not feeling particularly strained. i finish my share of work each day.
soon it'll be the winter vacation~~~ and i'll be home with my family then. ...but before that lots of work to do yet. @@ trying to keep up with time.

um, today's "daymark" is "modesty". 銝?撅梯?????銝?撅梢??. 鈭箏?????鈭?, 憭拙?????憭?. how vast the world is, and how much you don't know... should never be smug. @@

another cactus on the passage. ...it has a pretty green colour, but it's a pity that it looks like not growing well. the root of cacti is liable to rot. hope it could survive.

i found several new cacti in this building~. and i decide to roam this little place over and take them down. also conceiving to extend this digital eye to somewhere further, on a sunny day afternoon...by the green boulevard... i noticed it twice in the past two days when i walked past, and now cannot keep them off my mind~~~ i'll take them here, later.
a merit of photography: it'll get you all keen on discovering beauty around you, and the result is you will get more beauty around you. people say it is not that there's little beauty and goodness in the world, but that we lack the eyes/ mind to Notice them. ...um, can be true.

~~~i've been really up to something these two days, as the end of the term is coming, several essays' waiting for me, and those finals, and that big one i've been prepareing for.
...but the scenery is there, as beautiful as it always is. whenever i walk around them i would wish my eyes could take fotos!!~~~ haha. then in the second i walk by them, i could snap them into pictures that i could post here.
...um, taking a photo won't take too much time for amateurs like me, but the problem with me now is that i don't have a camera, that's why the photos here are all taken around my dorm room, hehe. i've never taken that camera of my roommate any further than here yet. so, when the winter vacation begins, i would seperate with my roommates, and her camera of course, then i won't be able to post fotos till the start of next term, during which time would be the Chinese Lunar New Year that comes on Feb. 8th this year. but i believer some others like Grazi and Moko Chan will show you real pictures of a Chinese new year in big cities like Hong Kong and Beijing.

above is a shuttlecock on the windowsill of my dorm, something used in a game we play by kicking it with our feet and keep it from falling to the ground. used to play this while in middle school, but now much less.

wooh~~~ have just finished a presentation script.
now, a refreshment. ^ ^

we had a beautiful starry sky last night, but didn't take it down.
it would be wonderful even only taking photos of the sky~ hehe.
and the passage of time is a mystery too.

reviewing yesterday's photos, i found that my cactus in the first pic looked like a monster....hehe, with horns on the head. @@ still lovable. haha.

just came back from an exam~ could hardly believe such a short time produced any good writing~~~ anyway, i feel better than last time, though still in a hurry. @@

yesterday's fruit were not apples, hehe. they're a kind of date, green dates, larger than the ordinary ones we usually see in the market. we pick those little ones when they're green, dry them in the sun, till finally their skin gets all red, shrunk, folded and crumpled, their flesh turns golden and tougher. we have these in our soup, and they have some medical use too.

i found that my cactus has around 50 buds. @@ hehe. much more than last year.
here are some pics of a clover down the corridor, with purple leaves and light pink flowers, quite special. it's said that if one finds a clover whose leaf has four divided leaflets, he/she would be forever happy. is there any such clovers? ...

my white porcelain cup, and this fruit, called ??????. fresh green skin, translucent crispy flesh. @@ under the white light of my reading lamp, a blurred halo round the smooth surface. a moment of stillness and rest.

i love the lawn in front of my teaching building. there're many birds living in my campus. i saw two taking their time strolling across the lawn, pecking here and there among the grass from time to time. all in leisure. there's a white downward triangle on their forehead and a black one on their chest. little creature, light and slim, all in a good shape. their nests are in the trees on the margine of this lawn, in the sunlight, their leaves glitter like emerald. bees are busying buzzing among the grass too. i wonder what they're busy with there: can't see any flower in the grass... oh, they're sure to know more about how to find flowers than i do. hehe. 0)
